Sheku, who had already established a name for himself by winning the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition when he was 17, was seen by millions when he played for the Royal Wedding in May 2018. He made his debut with the BBC Proms in 2017, and this season will become ‘Young Artist in Residence’ at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

His older sister Isata was a finalist in the piano category of the 2014 Young Musician competition, and has also won many important prizes and scholarships. Isata enjoys a musical career that takes her to all the important UK concert venues and many others abroad.
